Björkliden is located between the mountain slopes and the lakes in northern Sweden and provides some of Sweden’s best views of the Northern lights.

Björkliden is on the edge of the Abisko national park and on the shores of Lake Torneträsk and a popular skiing destination. The town of Abisko is approx 10 minutes down the road and also full of some great accommodation options.
Getting to Björkliden
The best way to get to Björkliden is to fly into Kiruna airport (KRN) and then take the train. The total journey time is approx 5 hours and 20 minutes. A cheaper option is to take the train all the way from Stockholm to Björkliden however this option takes over 17 hours.
Driving will take you approx 16 hours however you need to ensure you have a reliable vehicle as the drive can be dangerous.
